This folder should contain six sets of icons and this file. The icons contained within have been pasted onto folders, allowing simple copying and pasting of icons in the ‘Get Info…’ dialogue.
What’s in the folders?
Three of the folders contain folder icons. One of them is full of floppy icons and two contain a mixture of folder icons and general-purpose designs. In all cases folders marked with an asterisk* have more icons inside them.
Iso ƒs: folders based on the isometric, blue ‘Copland’ style folder.
Square ƒs: folders based on the classic, square folder .
Futurist fs: These folders are based on another design associated with System 8 - a black, industrial design.
Floppy icons: Lots of icons for cheering up those dull floppy disks.
Psychedelia: Bright, swirly concoctions to be avoided during hangovers.
Misc: a Celtic knot, some pyramids seen from above, some balls and an experiment using type.
But some of them won’t paste properly!
There seems to be a problem pasting some icons with pale colours at the edges. It seems to be something to do with the way the system devises the mask. The only way I know of fixing it is to open the offending icon in ResEdit and edit the mask manually before rebuilding the desktop. For the balls, drawing a circular mask does the trick. For ‘Wow!’, a complete square is neccesary as the 8-bit and 4-bit ones have different mask shapes.
So what’s it going to cost?
